Henllan Caravan Park - Access Statement

1.      Henllan Caravan Park is approximately 6 miles west of Welshpool on the A458 towards Dolgellau. Signposted to your right and approximately 300 yards along the lane is our main entrance, through the gateway and over the cattle grid onto the tarmac covered roads which have randomly placed 3 inch gradual speed bumps throughout the park.

2.      There are several designated car parks with two disabled parking spaces, one being near the area where touring caravans are allowed and the other in front of the toilet block.

3.      The caravans are all privately owned and positioned on raised concrete pads, each one requiring several upward steps to gain access.

4.      There is a laundry and toilet block on park, access to the approach of both is flat but with two upward steps to reach the laundry area. The toilet block includes one shower for male use and one for female, both with wide access doors.

5.      The caravan park is generally on level ground but access to the clubhouse, games room and office from the park is via two steep gradients.

6.      The games room and clubhouse both have ramped access and designated disabled parking bays  (clubhouse access ramp being at the rear) and assistance is always available when open.

7.      The caravan park is not served directly by public transport, the nearest bus and train stations being situated at Welshpool.

8.      The caravan park does not have shop facilities, the nearest being:- approximately 2 ½ miles away in the village of Llanfair Caereinion, where you can find convenience stores, butchers, bakers, banks, hairdressers etc. and public houses of course.
